Did you hear the latest? We’ve redone our website and what a process it was! Lots of time and work spent on creating the perfect upgrade. Many thanks going to our designer on this project, who has by the way been working with us since we first went online. I find it amazing that we had our first website and online shop seven years ago.
I love to look back and see how the company has evolved over recent years and nowhere is it more evident than online. To think that 25 years ago no one knew what an email address was – let alone what a website, FaceBook and Twitter would do for us as a company in the future; which is now.
I still remember my best friend in Germany telling me (I was studying in America at the time) that there was a way of sending messages across the world via the internet for FREE! His email address was a complicated composition of letters and numbers, nothing like what we use today. At the time I figured this email gig was never going to take off. Ha! Well, I’m not going to try to calculate how long ago that was, but let’s say it wasn’t much earlier that using a telex machine was normal for big companies, and fax machines were making their debut in smaller companies. Let’s not talk about pagers and those first, enormous handphones!
So here is the brand new Red Gum website – with smartphone friendly features, lots of great photographs (many of them taken by our very talented Chef Allen). We have even integrated really useful features like google maps; so you can find us easily. To make things even simpler for you, our product list can be downloaded as a PDF file, as can our credit application form.
What’s more, you’ll be hearing from me via my blog, which will be linked to our Facebook Page. So come and follow me online to hear about our latest exploits, products, recipe ideas, and adventures.
